What if the best style rule is to forget the rules? đ For years, I had a rigid idea of what a woman was âsupposedâ to look like. Long hair. Red nails. Everything matches. Everything âflatteringââusually meaning thinner. Sexy, but not too sexy. Makeup, but not too much. Polished. Appropriate. Then came the mannequins, trends and âmust-havesââthis is what weâre wearing now. Fashion is FUN. But I got so focused on getting it ârightâ that I lost my own North Star. And the more I followed rules instead of joy, the less joy I feltânot just getting dressed, but in my life. So Iâm trying new rules: MY OWN! Favorite outfits on repeat. Gold with silver. Chunky with dainty. Fancy with thrifted. Essential oils instead of perfume. Messy hair. Shoes I can DANCE in. Kelly green in late summer. Hot pink in winter. Blue nails when someone else prefers red. Temporary tattoos. Pearls with combat boots. Bangles because THEY JINGLE. Sometimes I even get dressed without a mirror. Before asking âHow do I look?â I want to know: âHow do I FEEL?â A mannequin can show you what goes together. Your style tells the story of who you are. Your history. Dreams. Travels. People youâve loved. Your softness and rebellious side. Your obsessions and inspirations. All the beautiful pieces that make you YOU. Notice the color you canât stop looking at. The silk that makes you feel feminine. The leather that makes you feel powerful. Those are breadcrumbs leading you back to yourself. Joy is one hell of a currency. When I feel playful, expressive and fully myself, I show up differentlyâmore confident, courageous and available for my actual LIFE. Thatâs why I created The You Reveal. Not to help women dress like the mannequin, but to help women reveal themselvesâand dress the beautiful, ever-changing story of who they are. Forget the rules. Find your North Star. Dress for the currency of JOY. đ⨠#TheYouReveal #DressingFromTheInsideOut #AuthenticStyle #PersonalStyle #SelfExpression
