My dad is very old-fashioned, and I was raised traditionally in many ways. Dressing well was a form of good manners. We dressed up to travel. We dressed up to go to the bank. There were certain places where you simply showed up looking nice. And funny enough… I still do it. Not because I think anyone should. And not because there’s a “right” way to dress. I do it because it reminds me of my dad. ❤️ There’s something about walking into the bank looking polished or getting dressed for a flight that makes me smile and think, Dad would approve. And I think that’s another beautiful part of personal style: Sometimes we dress for who we are. Sometimes for how we want to feel. And sometimes, we dress for the people, memories and traditions we want to carry with us. The point isn’t what you wear. It’s knowing why you chose it.
